Managing the Madness – Using QuickBooks!
This training uses QuickBooks financial software and takes place over a full day, in your office, on your copy of QuickBooks. Take advantage of the training yourself or have it delivered to your assistant/office manager/part-time bookkeeper…any of your support staff who has the time to spend a few hours a week managing your finances, even if they have no bookkeeping experience! The program is also useful for personal finances that tend to be a bit more complex, or even if you just have phone bills and electric bills stacked in piles around your house!

This content is tailored to your specific needs but typically contains three components:
- Basic business accounting principles, made easy
- QuickBooks “how-to” from start-up to advanced features and reporting
- Easy-to-use filing system to keep an effective paper trail of all revenues and expenditures
Advanced issues such as budgets and payroll can also be incorporated.
Basic Business Accounting Principles
You’ll learn to set up QuickBooks using the accounting categories that are appropriate for your specific business or situation. You’ll also get a general sense of which charges go in which category, and generate a list of questions and issues to take to your CPA. Also, remember how long it takes you to compile your information at the end of the year to send to your accountant? And then her bill is still huge because she couldn’t make any sense of it? This training allows you to make productive and efficient use of your CPA’s time, saving you time and money.
QuickBooks “How-To”
Learn all the applicable features of QuickBooks which will allow you to make intelligent, informed decisions for your business. You’ll learn with your data, so you’ll get exactly what you need to know to manage your specific situation. Just a sample of the features you could learn are using Classes, customer management, vendor management, banking, accounts payable/receivable, and reporting.
Efficient Filing
Here’s the piece you won’t get with any other type of QuickBooks training: With just one drawer in your filing cabinet, you’ll have a complete and neatly organized paper trail of your company’s financial history – an absolute necessity in the event of an audit.
